Unlock Your Child’s Potential with Ponte Vedra Speech, Language and Learning

Is your child struggling in school, but you’re not sure why? Difficulties with reading, writing, following directions, completing assignments, or expressing ideas may be signs of an underlying speech, language, or learning challenge. At Ponte Vedra Speech, Language and Learning, we combine expertise in speech-language pathology with classroom teaching experience to identify the root cause of your child’s difficulties and develop a plan for success.

We provide comprehensive, one-on-one evaluations that look beyond test scores to understand how your child learns and communicates. Our assessment process may include standardized testing, review of classroom performance, parent and teacher input, and collaboration with your child’s educational team. By identifying your child’s strengths as well as the skills that need support, we create individualized recommendations and therapy plans designed to help them succeed both academically and socially.

For students who struggle with reading and writing, we focus on the underlying language skills that are essential for literacy development. Many children experience difficulties because of weaknesses in language processing, phonological awareness, vocabulary, or sound-symbol relationships. By addressing these foundational skills, we help students build stronger reading and writing abilities that carry over into the classroom.

Our literacy intervention may include:

  • Strengthening phonological awareness and phonemic awareness

  • Building decoding and word-reading skills

  • Teaching multisensory strategies to reinforce speech sound and letter associations

  • Improving vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written language

  • Developing language skills that support classroom learning and academic success

At Ponte Vedra Speech, Language and Learning, our goal is to give every child the tools they need to become a confident learner and communicator. Through individualized instruction, evidence-based intervention, and close collaboration with families and schools, we help children overcome obstacles, build on their strengths, and reach their full potential.
